Service Description

The initial psychiatric visit involves a longer interview than subsequent ones and serves to gather information useful for reconstructing the patient's medical history (both general health and psychopathological) and assessing their current mental state. Both are necessary for a diagnostic assessment that allows for planning a potential therapeutic course. The treatment plan may involve the use of medications with or without psychological intervention. Sometimes, rehabilitation interventions may also be necessary. It should be remembered that, to accurately collect anamnestic data, it is necessary to also present all clinical documentation of the patient's health, if available.
